Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that some websites store in your browser to remember things, such as the fact that you have already signed in. There are similar technologies, such as the browser’s “local storage,” that work in a similar way. In this policy, when we say “cookies” we mean all of them.
2. What we use on aiBrenda
aiBrenda does not use advertising cookies, social media cookies or third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). We do not follow you around other websites or build profiles to show you ads.
We only use, when needed, strictly necessary technical elements so that the website works. For example:
- Keeping you signed in while you use aiBrenda.
- Remembering basic settings, such as whether you prefer to talk or write.
- Protecting the website against attacks and automated access. Cloudflare, our network and security provider, may set some technical cookies for this purpose.
| Name | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
brenda_session | Keeps you signed in. | 30 days |
| Local storage | Remembers basic app settings on your device. | Until you clear it |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare: tells people apart from bots. Only when Cloudflare protects the website. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare: remembers that you have passed a security check. Only when Cloudflare protects the website. | Usually 30 minutes (1 year at most) |
Under Spanish law, which applies to us (Article 22.2 of the LSSI, the Spanish Information Society Services Act), these technical cookies do not need your consent, because they are essential for our service to work. That is why we do not show you a notice asking you to accept them.
Technical monitoring (New Relic)
We use New Relic to detect failures and check that the website is running quickly. If any data is stored in your browser for this purpose, we will list it above.
3. What about usage statistics?
In order to optimize and improve aiBrenda we analyze where our users come from, which parts they view, how long each visit lasts, how many minutes of conversation are used and/or which features fail. To do this we use the activity data from our own servers and Umami, a statistics tool that uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not identify you personally. You can find more information in our Privacy Policy.
4. In the Android app
The aiBrenda app does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Please keep in mind that Google Play and your phone have their own policies, which do not depend on us.
5. How to delete or block cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge…), usually under “Privacy” or “Security”. If you block technical cookies, you may have to sign in every time, or some features may not work properly.
6. Changes
If in the future we add cookies that are not technical (for example, analytics or advertising cookies), we will explain it here and ask for your permission first before setting them.
